The Sanford-Burnham Office of Training & Academic Services provides a variety of opportunities that support the career development and enhance the training experience of the Institute’s scientists-in-training.

Sanford-Burnham trainees may take advantage of a wealth of career and professional development programs designed to facilitate the scientific success of each individual. In addition to programs that are designed to prepare Sanford-Burnham’s young scientists for independent careers and successes as the scientific leaders of the future, all trainees have access to one-on-one career advising, information and resources to assist in career choices and job searches, and many occasions to network with other trainees and scientists in the greater San Diego area. For Sanford-Burnham’s international trainee population, workshops designed to address the specific professional concerns of visiting researchers are available.
